Car rental terms

Upon signing of the rental agreement it is necessary for drivers to have the following documents: driver’s licence issued at least two years ago and passport.

Reservation of cars is made on Internet, in our office at Brivibas str.217, or by phone (+371 28855553). In the event of reservation within one of the specified car groups, a specific car make is not guaranteed by Car Rental.

DH rental is fixed for 24 hours. Payment by international credit cards is accepted. The estimated rental and self-risk deposit shall be pre-authorized on the Renter’s credit card at the beginning of rental.

Car delivery within the territory of Riga on business days from 9.00 till 18.00 is charged at a rate of 10 LVL At other time car delivery and transfer is charged at a rate of 15 LVL. Car delivery and transfer at our office is free of charge.

Each additional driver to be mentioned in the rental agreement a charge of 2.00 LVL per day or max. 14.00 LVL per whole period of rent shall be calculated.

DH cars are rented clean, with a full fuel tank and all necessary fluids. Cars shall be returned in the same order as they were received.

Upon signing of the rental agreement the Renter shall pay a safety deposit in the amount of 100 LVL.

Insurance

All DH cars have CASCO insurance covering all risks connected with loss, theft of vehicle, reduction of its value, etc and MTPL – compulsory motor third party liability insurance. Both of them are included in the rental price.

Additional equipment

Roof  rack (available for certain car groups only): 3.00 LVL per day

Baby seat (for children between 1 and 4): 3.00 LVL per day

Child seat / booster (for children between 4 and 12): 3.00 LVL per day.

Penalties

In the event the Renter violates stopping and parking rules and a fine is applied, the Renter shall pay a penalty to the Company in the amount of 20 LVL per each case of violation.

In the event the renter fails to inform of or conceals a fine for violation of stopping and parking rules, the Renter shall pay a penalty to the Company in the amount of 100 LVL

In the event of seizure of the Vehicle due to the Renter’s alcohol and/or drug intoxication, the renter shall pay a penalty to the Company in the amount of 20% (twenty per cent) of the Vehicle value.

Penalty for loss of car documents or keys: 150.00 LVL

Penalty for the delivery of a dirty car: 10 LVL

Upon delivery of a car with a deficient fuel, the fuel will be charged at a rate of 1.20 LVL per litre.

Unlimited travel within the territory of Latvia is permitted. For travels outside of the Republic of Latvia a written consent of DH Car rental shall be required.
